"Presence over perfection."
What We Do
The Presence Project is an interactive public speaking experience powered by improv and performance techniques. You'll practice, respond, and build real confidence in real time.
Break out of overthinking and tap into your natural ability to think, respond, and express yourself with ease.
Learn to respond in the moment without freezing, rambling, or second-guessing yourself.
Develop control over your tone, pace, and delivery so you can speak with intention, confidence, and impact.
Every workshop is tailored to the audience, whether that's students, women, or culturally-rooted spaces, so what you learn feels relevant, real, and immediately applicable.
How It Works
Three Phases. One Goal: Train Your Voice to Show Up for You in Any Room.
We start by breaking down overthinking and activating creativity through improv-based exercises that train you to think quickly and respond naturally.
Your voice is your instrument. We develop how you sound, show up, and connect, focusing on tone, pace, projection and presence.
Then you apply it. Through real-time speaking scenarios, you practice thinking on your feet, adapting, and delivering with confidence under pressure.
Who It's For
The Presence Project is designed for organizations, programs, and institutions that are committed to developing strong communicators and confident leaders. Whether you're supporting students, emerging professionals, or members of your organization, this workshop provides a modern, engaging approach to building real-world speaking and communication skills.
Traditional programs give you:
We give you:
Rooted in cultural awareness and designed to support communities that have historically lacked access to this kind of training while delivering an engaging, high-impact experience for any group looking to strengthen communication and leadership skill.
The Problem We're Solving
Research shows that communication skills, not technical expertise, are the #1 driver of career success. Yet access to quality public speaking training has never been equally distributed. For Black and Brown students and professionals, that gap has real consequences.
85%
of career success comes from communication skills
It's not just what you know, but how you express it. The ability to speak clearly, think on your feet, and engage others is what separates those who move forward from those who get overlooked.

70%
of employers say communication is the most valued workplace skill
Across industries, the ability to communicate clearly and confidently is what gets you hired, promoted, and remembered. Yet most schools never teach it — and most people never get the chance to practice it in a real, high-stakes way.

75%
of people say they avoid opportunities because of fear of public speaking
Fear of speaking holds people back from rooms they belong in. The good news? Confidence is a skill — and like any skill, it can be built. That's exactly what The Presence Project is designed to do.

That's exactly why The Presence Project exists.
We introduce a different way of learning communication — one that's interactive, practical, and rooted in real-life application. Through improv and performance techniques, participants build confidence, presence, and the ability to communicate clearly in the moments that actually matter.
What to Expect
You won't leave one session completely transformed, and we won't promise that.
What you will gain is a new way of thinking about your voice, practical tools you can apply immediately, and the confidence to show up differently in the moments that matter.
